Preschool Update

July 30, 2020

Due to the pandemic, we must adhere to new standards determined by our licensing agency, the State’s Department of Children and Families.

One of the restrictions is that we are limited to a preschool class of 10 students. Therefore, it will be necessary for us to give priority to the families who have registered, or are willing to register, for 5 days a week. If we can accommodate families interested in fewer days a week, we will accept them.

Additionally, in order to meet the safety requirements of other programs, the 8:45am-12:30pm time frame will be the only option offered. The monthly charge will be $798 ($7,980 for the school year). That fee will help compensate for the cost of additional COVID-19 preventative measures. While we are accepting new applications, space is not guaranteed due to government-ordered capacity restrictions.

Because keeping your child safe guides every decision we make, we assure you we will be strictly adhering to COVID-19 preventative measures. For instance, all staff complete a daily health screening questionnaire and have their temperature taken before entering the building and the same will be required of your preschooler. Intensified cleaning and disinfection procedures have been implemented throughout the building using EPA approved disinfectants and following CDC guidance.

As in the past, we will follow the Summit school district’s calendar with a start date of September 1st. Should schools need to close, Preschool Head Teacher Christina is preparing for a remote learning option.

Christina is very excited about the opportunity to teach your preschooler and both of us hope your child will join us this school year.

Sincerely,

Christina Carosella
