Fun Facts About Our Stars On Stage Teachers!

Every summer a group of talented dancing, singing and acting teachers guide our Stars on Stage Campers in an entertaining performance at the end of their 2 week session. Read on for some impressive fun facts about each of our Stars On Stage teachers!

Jessica Fascenelli Weisenbach – Director / Choreographer

  1. Jessica has a Degree in Dance Education
  2. She has directed 12 summer camp shows and choreographed over 20 musical theater shows
  3. Jessica has taught and choreographed dances for 10 years
  4. She has worked with summer camps for 10 years
  5. She has been coaching/choreographing for The Connection’s competitive Dance Team for 5 years. In that time she has received several entertainment and creative concept awards, special awards, and coached a high ranking team.

Dakota Judge – Assistant Director

  1. Dakota recently performed as a singer in a Stand Up to Cancer Cabaret
  2. She was last seen in Rider University’s production of “She Kills Monsters”
  3. Dakota was the Assistant Fight Choreographer for Lawrenceville School’s production of “Romeo and Juliet”
  4. She served as the Vocal and Dialect Coach of Rider University’s production of “Inherit the Wind”
  5. She has a BA in Acting

Meghan O’Brien – Dance Teacher / Choreographer

  1. Meghan placed 6th at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Irish Dance Championships
  2. She just returned from competing in the World Championships in Dublin, Ireland
  3. Meghan has toured with a professional Irish Dance show called “Rhythm in the Night”
  4. She just recently had the opportunity to audition for Riverdance (no word yet, but keep your fingers crossed for her!)
  5. This will be Meghan’s 6th year working our performing arts camp!

Taina Bey – Dance Teacher / Choreographer

  1. Taina recently completed the Intensive Semester Program at Peridance Capezio Center in NYC
  2. She was featured as a Guest Artist in Freespace Dance Company’s current season in Montclair, NJ
  3. Taina co-choreographed ‘The Home Show’ which made its debut in Northampton, MA this past February
  4. She has a BA in Dance
  5. She teaches dance at The Connection during the year as well

Elizabeth Colagrande – Acting Teacher

  1. Elizabeth just graduated with a BA in Theatre Arts with a concentration in Acting
  2. Her favorite roles that she’s played are Jo March (Little Women), Elizabeth Proctor (The Crucible), and Sally Brown (You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown)
  3. She started acting when she was nine years old at a summer camp!
  4. She has worked on a TV show for Nickelodeon

Corinne Spies – Acting Teacher

  1. Corinne has been in a movie, “The Chicken Farmer”, and was one of the leads
  2. She has recorded at a voice over studio
  3. Corinne has been the voice of a museum exhibit
  4. She is pursuing a BA in Theater Arts with an Acting Concentration

Nancy Chao – Music Teacher

  1. In college, Nancy sang with the Westminster Symphonic Choir at Lincoln Center with the New York Philharmonic twice
  2. She has performed with various choirs at Carnegie Hall
  3. She has participated in several classical singing summer festivals in Assisi, Italy (Assisi Performing Arts Fesitval), in Vancouver, Canada (Vancouver International Song Institute), and Indiana, USA (Master Works Festival)
