or bouncing motions and will begin to fully submerge their faces. They’ll practice independent front and back floats,
use kick-boards and other floatation aids to develop kicking skills, and be introduced to freestyle arm movements
and elementary backstroke. Jumping into the pool is also introduced as part of water entry skills. Swim goggles recommended. LEVEL 1: BEGINNERNew swimmers will gain confidence by learning how to move through the water using walking
or bouncing motions and will begin to fully submerge their faces. They’ll practice independent front and back floats,
use kick-boards and other floatation aids to develop kicking skills, and be introduced to freestyle arm movements

learning proper backstroke form. The class introduces the breaststroke kick as part of the elementary backstroke and
introduces the scissor kick used in sidestroke. Students will also begin to build endurance, working toward swimming
25 yards without stopping. Swim goggles recommended. Ages 3-5 Session I: $80, Session II: $80 10:15 am 10:45 am This beginner class introduces young swimmers to the water in a safe and supportive
environment. Children will learn how to enter and exit the pool safely using stairs or by sliding in. Skills
include wall-walking to safety, blowing bubbles, submerging their face, and stretching out their bodies to begin floating on both their front and back. They’ll also practice kicking at the pool’s edge and scooping motions (early doggy paddle). Flotation aids like noodles and back bubbles are used to support learning and comfort in the water. Swim goggles recommended. PRESCHOOL 1This beginner class introduces young swimmers to the water in a safe and supportive
