Dear Members,
Thank you for your continued support and for investing in our community. We’re excited to share a number of facility improvement projects taking place this summer through October—all designed to enhance your experience and further prioritize safety, comfort, and enjoyment.
To minimize any disruptions, most work is being completed during evening hours or when the building is closed.
Here’s what you can expect:
NEW Outdoor Garden Recreation Area
We’re thrilled to introduce a new outdoor space created for our adult members to unwind and build community. This inviting garden area along Maple Street will feature:
- A bocce court and horseshoe pit
- Table tennis
- Garden planters
- Picnic tables


Security Enhancements
Keeping our members safe is a top priority, and we’re making several important upgrades as part of an ongoing effort to enhance security throughout our facility:
- Additional cameras are being installed to cover the parking lot, playgrounds, doorways, and the pool area.
- Magnetic locks and door alarms will be added to our preschool classrooms to enhance child safety. Access will be controlled by fob for authorized personnel only.
- At the beginning of the summer, we introduced a barcode scan system for building entry. If you haven’t been by recently, please click here to learn how to access your barcode.
Building Upgrades & Maintenance
General repairs and improvements are being done to preserve the integrity and efficiency of our facility:
- New carpeting will be installed throughout the lower level.
- New flooring will be installed in the lobby and MP4. The MP1 floor is being resanded and refinished.
- The entire exterior of the building and roof will be powerwashed.
- Exterior concrete and sidewalk repairs will be done as needed and sections of the building exterior will be refaced.
- A new pathway connecting the parking lot to Maple Street will be added.
- The Maple Street playground fence will be fully replaced.
Pool Repairs
The pool will be closed Monday, 8/25, Tuesday, 8/26, and Wednesday, 8/27 for necessary wall crack repairs and sealing.
Locker Room & Bathroom Upgrades
We will be steam cleaning all locker rooms and bathrooms and replacing all shower fixtures in the women’s locker room.
Parking Lot Improvements
During the week of August 25, the parking lot will be resealed, cracks filled, and restriped. Half the lot will be closed at a time, and two-way traffic will temporarily be in effect at the entrance/exit. There are no classes or camp this week so parking will be minimally affected.
