National Dance Day

12:30pm – 2:30pm: Celebrate National Dance Day with The Connection!

Contemporary: Rooted in strong technique and emotional expression, Ali’s contemporary classes challenge dancers to push their limits, blending sharp accents with fluid movement. Her classes offer a safe, inclusive space to explore artistry and expand both physical range and performance quality.

Jazz: Heather is an energetic, enthusiastic teacher whose class focuses on developing strong jazz technique. Students are expected to have a basic knowledge of dance and a willingness to learn in a patient, low pressure environment. Her warm-up concentrates on strength and flexibility which is used in her fast-paced and fun choreography.

Heather Rigg moved to New York City to work for Frank Hatchett as an elite VOP instructor. Her talent, passion, and positive energy have taken her across the United States, Europe and Asia. Heather has been fortunate enough to perform in shows with artists such as Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Beyoncé (Destiny’s Child), and P!nk. She was also an NBA Dancer for the Nets. She has choreographed for television (CBS), international promo tours, Off-Broadway performances, and numerous music videos. Some of her other performance and choreography credits include national and international industrials for American Express, Coca-Cola, MAXIM, and Volkswagen.

 

 

Ali Koinoglou is an award-winning choreographer based out of NYC. Ali’s most notable choreography credits include Disney+ movie premiere for the release of Sneakerella, MTV’s 50th Birthday Celebration for Madonna, TLC’s The Long Island Medium, SNL, & ABC’s Good Morning America. Outside of her TV credits, Ali has an extensive choreography roster of performances such as Sybarite, Carnival, Peridance Youth Arts Showcase, DUMBO Dance Festival, Brooklyn Dance Festival, Young Choreographers Festival, The New York Jazz Festival, HATCH: the series, Dixon Place Pop-Up Artist Spotlight, Dance Astoria, MishMash 201, Jazz Choreography Enterprise (JCE), White Wave Dance Festival, Unique Movers, KoDaFe Dance Festival, “TRANSLATE” JChen Project, Jared Grimes’ Run the Night, Harlem Dance Festival, & many more. Ali’s work has been publicly recognized by the Pulse on Tour, Radix Dance Convention, Dance Mogul Magazine, & Dance Magazine.
