Volunteer Dance & Performing Arts Instructor
The Connection is seeking a volunteer assistant Dance & Performing Arts instructor. This is a great opportunity for teens and tweens to gain experience and volunteer hours.
Our special needs swim lesson (S.N.S.L.) provides 45 minutes of instruction provided by our trained staff and volunteers. This program is designed to teach and improve each student’s swimming skills while working in a group environment to improve their focus, comfort, and overall understanding of safety in the pool. Volunteers are expected to motivate and facilitate the progression of goals for swimmers while keeping them safe in and around the water. Must be ages 15+ and comfortable in deep and shallow water.
Volunteers will be working with special needs participants ages 3-adult with a variety of disabilities. Must be ages 15+ and comfortable in deep and shallow water. This one hour program provides individuals who are physically or intellectually challenged the opportunity to use the pool for exercise, learn basic swimming skills, be part of a social group, and play games while having fun in a safe aquatic environment. Volunteers are expected to motivate and facilitate the progression of goals for swimmers while keeping them safe in and around the water.

Pathways cooks provide healthy, whole foods meals to women undergoing chemotherapy and their families. Drivers are needed on Wednesdays to deliver meals from 5:30pm – 6:30pm and would require between 30-60 minutes of driving time. Cooking volunteers are needed Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1-3:30 pm. Volunteers are needed to prep, cook, clean up or deliver meals. Two-hour shifts or full shifts are both welcome.
