Adult Fitness

  • Summer Camp
    Candidates must be available for a minimum of four weeks from June 25 – August 17; Monday – Friday.  Camp hours are 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m; A.M. and P.M. positions available. We provide training on camp policies and operations in June in the evening.  CPR/AED/first aid certifications may be required.
    Camps Include: Summer Fun (A.M. Day Camp), Sports Camp, Gymnastics Camp, Lights, Camera, Action! (Performing Arts Camp), Travel Camp (Off-Site Adventures) EEO

    • Camp Counselor
      Ensures that group is safe and well cared for at all times.  Individual must have the ability to work with groups of children and be able to direct them in activities.  Hours are determined by responsibilities, group assignment, and other duties.
    • Specialist
      Must have teaching experience in specialty. Hours are determined by specialty and other duties.  Specialty areas include:  Arts and crafts, indoor/outdoor sports, music, dance, science and nature, lifeguarding, and performing arts, culinary arts, vocal coaching, and gymnastics.

    VOLUNTEERS NEEDED 
    There is a place for everyone at The Connection! If you have the desire to help, we can be flexible to meet your schedule.  Volunteer at The Connection and take part in a rewarding experience that will enrich both you and our organization.

  • Adapted Aquatics Classes, Saturdays 
    Ages 15 and up. Colonial Crossroads Chapter of the American Red Cross co-sponsors a swimming program for individuals ages 4 and up with physical, mental, emotional or neurological challenges. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact 908-273-2076 ext 28.
  • English as a Second Language
    Tutor newcomers to the U.S. No experience is necessary. Flexible hours, Monday-Thursday; mornings or Monday evenings. Contact Jane Walbridge, x129 or click here to email.  

  • Bi-lingual Pathways Volunteer
    Bi-lingual breast cancer survivors to provide peer support to Spanish spreaking women.

  • Drivers and Cooks for Pathways Cooks
    Pathways cooks provides healthy, while foods meals to women undergoing chemotherapy and their families. Drivers are needed on Wednesdays to deliver meals from 5:30pm – 6:30pm and would require between 30-60 minutes of driving time. Cooking volunteers are needed Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1-6 pm. Volunteers are needed to prep, cook, clean up or deliver meals.  Two hour shifts or full shifts are both welcome.
