The Connection is committed to keeping kids and families fit. Beginning Early Winter 2011-2012, we have a variety of fitness focused youth classes open to all ages and abilities!
Classes Include:
- Family Yoga (ages 3-5)
Allows families to explore strength, balance and flexibility through yoga in a playful manner.
- Yoga (grades 2-5)
Develop flexibility, coordination, strength and balance.
- Run for Fun (preschool and school age levels)
Teaches children the joy and fitness of running through games and fun activities. School Age children will track their progress by using a pedometer and track their fitness by using a heart rate monitor.
- Fit Kids (grades 3-6)
Children exercise through creative play and games in a non-competitive environment using training equipment. Included will be one Fit Kid personal Training in the Fitness Center by appointment.
- Zumba Tomic (grades 2-5)
A high-energy fitness class with specially choreographed, kid-friendly routines and all the music kids love like Hip-Hop, Reggaeton, Cumbia and more. Parents love Zumbatomic because of the effects it has on kids. Zumbatomic rounds out family fitness goals by giving parents a great reason to head to the gym – for themselves, for their kids, for a totally fun family experience.
- TriTraining (grades 3-6)
A classes that covers training basics for running, biking and swimming. Use the fitness center and the pool to help train all of the appropriate triathlon skills.
- Sports Leagues (ages 2 ½ - 5)
Introduction to a variety of sports for boys and girls: teeball, soccer, basketball and more. Games and active play help develop group skills. Emphasis on teamwork and sportsmanship.
