The Connection is a remarkable place…. a place where everyone can participate and feel welcome. Our programs bring together individuals from all backgrounds and abilities; creating a community where we can all feel “connected”. Your financial support of our community service programs illustrates your “connection” to this remarkable place.

  • 200 children are cared for in the safe, nurturing environment of our AfterSchool Enrichment Programs
  • 250 children and adults with special needs learn skills, have fun, make friends and gain a sense of belonging in our social and recreational programs
  • 70 students from 20 countries acquire language skills, valuable support services and self-sufficiency in our ESL Program
  • 500 women with breast and gynecological cancer gain support, education and wellness services through Pathways
  • 550 individuals receive over $270,000 in scholarship assistance to participate in our programs

  • Open Gym Event
    Sunday, Feb. 5th
    11:30-1:00pm kids ages 5-7 and 1:00-3:00pm girls ages 8+ (team members welcome)
    Supervised, non-structured time where children can work on their gymnastics skills and enjoy spending time with friends. Open gym is a time to play, exercise, practice gymnastics skills and have FUN! There is no direct instruction. Staff is on hand in a supervisory capacity only. Must wear appropriate gym attire. No jeans, skirts, dresses, footed tights, or other non-workout clothing. Minimum Pledge: $15/child or $25/family
  • Mega Swim-a-thon
    Sunday, Feb. 19th Dive in and make a difference!
    12:30-1:30pm: Adults
    1:30-2:30pm: Competitive Swimmers (our levels 4 – TOPS)
    2:30-3:30pm: Kids + Water Exercise (workout with a new instructor every 20 minutes!)
    3:30-4:30pm: Biggest Splash Contest/Family Swim
    For every $50 raised get entered into a raffle for a gift basket! Snacks available. Minimum Pledge: $25
  • Family S.T.E.A.M. Challenge
    Friday, Feb. 24th 6-8pm
    Join us for this engaging and predictably humorous family challenge! Participants, ages 4 & up, can try their skills at more than ten fun, timed challenges similar to the “Minute to Win It” television show. Have fun together while experimenting with the principles of physics – motion, force, and energy. Pizza will be provided. Minimum Pledge: $25/family
  • Zumba-thon®
    Saturday, Feb. 25th 1:30-3:30pm
    Join the Party! Help support The Connection during a 90 minute Zumbathon® Charity Event. Dance with a variety of instructors, music and styles! Salsa, Merengue and Mambo your way to a good cause! Register at the Front Desk. Space is limited. Minimum Pledge: $25
  • Dance-a-thon
    Friday, March 10th 6:30-8:30pm
    Join us for our Jungle Boogie Dance-A-Thon! Bring your filled out Pledge Card to get in and dance the night away with our DJ. The evening is sponsored by Summit Soundz and will be hosted by The Connection’s Dance Staff. Kids ages 4 & up will get to dance to popular music, play dance games, and do their favorite party dances! Parents can drop off OR pledge and stay. *Jungle clothing is a plus, but not a must. Snacks available. Minimum Pledge: $25
  • Fitness Center Challenge
    March 1st – March 31st
    Complete the Fitness Center challenge of the day (a 20 minute non-stop circuit) x3 per week. Trainers will work with you to adapt challenges to your level. Stop by the Fitness Center for more information. Minimum Pledge: $25
