Pathways, a program of The Connection for Women and Families, provides support, education and wellness programs for women with cancer, creating a community in which shared experiences lead to personal growth and healing. Pathways is committed to empowering women to recognize their strengths and encouraging them to make choices that enable them to become their own self-care advocates. Programs are available free of charge to female cancer survivors.
SUPPORT Tuesday (day) - Gynecological Cancer Support Group; for women with ovarian and other gynecological cancers, at any stage of treatment: newly diagnosed, undergoing treatment or post treatment.
Thursday (evening) - Facing Breast Cancer Together; for women at any stage of breast cancer treatment: newly diagnosed, undergoing treatment or post treatment.
EDUCATION The Women's Cancer Teaching Project: Breast and Gynecological Cancer survivors to provide educational programs to residents, nurses, other hospital professionals and the community. Patients describe their experiences with cancer focusing on initial diagnosis, quality of life and encounters with physicians and the health care system. Currently funded by the Horizon Foundation for New Jersey.
Healing Foods for Survivors: Cooking demonstrations designed to give survivors the knowledge and skills to nourish themselves with delicious, cancer fighting whole foods meals. Taught by Karen Feldman www.naturallykaren.com
WELLNESS Monday - Dragon Boating at Lake Parsippany 5:45-7:30pm (April - October, www.teamsosnj.org) Tuesdays - Gentle Yoga 6:30-7:30pm Thursday - Cancer Recovery Fitness 12:15-1pm exercise program for women recovering from cancer surgery and treatment. more information here: www.recoveryfitness.net Saturday - Gentle Yoga 9-10am

Carole Lehmann Financial Assistance Fund: limited aid provided to women with cancer who are medically underserved, uninsured or who demonstrate financial need.
